I have to stop here for a little bit of self promotion as I just obtained my second board certification at the International Congress of Oral Implantology Meeting in Orlando, Florida, in 2024. I have been board certified already once by the American Board of Periodontology since 2011 and I have worked on this second board examination since 2020. This is a significant achievement as it required passing challenging written and oral examinations along with evidence of hundreds of completed successful implant cases, consistent continuing education efforts, scientific publications and recommendation by an ICOI-board certified implantologist. I thank the multitude of individuals that have helped me achieve this milestone ranging from the patients that entrusted me with their care to family and friends who supported me through this process.
While it is nice to be recognized, what makes me happy is that I have this skill and knowledge recognized by world renowned dentists and I can bring this to my community and share it with others in the hopes of improving their lives.
