Mission & Vision

Vision: A community where no one is failed by dentistry and where everyone is able to obtain quality dental work by honest and respectful professionals.

Mission: This institute exists to support people with complex medical and dental needs, their caregivers, their dental care providers, and the community at large in finding lasting solutions for regaining oral health and quality of life through supporting education, research, prevention and treatment of oral conditions.

Populations Served: While we serve everyone in the Inland Empire and High Desert, we are interested in supporting solutions for solving oral health disparities in the following groups of people:

  • Low income
  • Medically complex
  • Native American
  • Pacific Islanders
  • Rural

Area Served: We serve the Inland Empire, High Desert, and adjacent cities/census-designated places in Kern, Inyo, Los Angeles and Orange Counties such as: Adelanto, Aguanga, Angelus Oaks, Anza, Apple Valley, Arrowbear, Azusa, Baldwin Lake, Baker, Banning, Barstow, Beaumont, Big Bear, Big Bear Lake, Big Pine, Bishop, Bloomington, Boron, Cahuilla, Calimesa, Cherry Valley, Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Colton, Corona, Covina, Crestline, Devore, Diamond Bar, Diamond Lake, East Vale, Fontana, Forest Falls, French Valley, Glendora, Green Valley, Hemet, Hesperia, Highland, Idyllwild, Independence, Jurupa Valley, Lake Arrowhead, Lake Elsinore, Lake Gregory, Lancaster, LaVerne, Loma Linda, Lone Pine, Lytle Creek, Lucerne Valley, Mead Valley, Menifee, Mentone, Montclair, Moreno Valley, Mountain Center, Mount Baldy, Murrieta, Needles, Norco, Nuevo, Olancha, Ontario, Perris, Phelan, Phillips Ranch, Placentia, Palmdale, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Rialto, Ridgecrest, Riverside, Running Springs, San Bernardino, San Jacinto, Sun City, Temecula, Temescal Valley, Thomas Mountain, Trona, Twentynine Palms, Upland, Victorville, Walnut, West Covina, Wildomar, Woodcrest, Wrightwood, Yorba Linda, Yucaipa.

Projects in Development:

  • Free continuing education and telementoring for dentists treating complex cases in community clinics, Indian Health Service clinics, dental school clinics, free clinics, FQHC and FQHC-look alikes using the Project ECHO(R) format
  • Create quality predental experiences for individuals who consider careers in dentistry, dental education, or dental research from the population we serve
